Vancouver resident June Clark was selected among 30,000 residents from more than 300 Holiday Retirement communities throughout the U.S. and Canada to win free rent for life as part of a national resident appreciation giveaway.
Clark is a resident of The Bedford retirement community, located at 13303 S.E. McGillivray Blvd. in Vancouver, and was announced as the winner during the community’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration on March 17.
“I’m not quite over the shock,” said Clark, a Los Angeles native. “It’s just a wonderful surprise and totally unexpected. I guess it’s just the luck of the Irish.”
The resident appreciation giveaway is in conjuction with Holiday Retirement’s Free Rent for Life Sweepstakes, which continue through March 31. All seniors who tour a Holiday Retirement community during the sweepstakes will be entered to win free rent for life with three total winners randomly selected.
Two winners have already been announced, including Bob and Ordelle Bammert of Olympia, Wash. and Marie Coblentz of Fort Wayne, Ind. The Bammerts toured Capital Place while Coblentz toured Arbor Glen.
